Cataract Surgery with Freedom from Glasses and Contacts

Replacing your cataract-affected lenses

The simple, straightforward approach.

As a cataract patient, your procedure is likely to centre on the removal of your ‘cloudy’ lenses, and replace them with new permanent intraocular lenses. In most cases we will insert individually engineered monofocal lenses. If this is the case, you may need glasses for close-up reading or distance vision.

Designed and created exclusively for you

Our ophthalmological and surgical teams will work together to ensure that the monofocal lenses manufactured for you are suitable for your eye biology.

Experienced Surgeons and Advanced Technology

Your surgical team is qualified and experienced in all aspects of the procedures, technologies and materials we’ll use to improve your vision. We’ve successfully completed operations like your thousands of times.

Comprehensive Support and Follow-Up Care

From your initial consultation to long-term follow-up, we’re with you every step of the way, providing comprehensive care to make sure your eye care journey is smooth and successful.

The advantages of intraocular lenses (IOLs).

Personalised Care, Tailored Vision Solutions

Every intraocular lens is designed and engineered specifically to the individual. Please do remember that when we fit monofocal lenses, you will possibly still need glasses or contacts for some tasks.

Procedure Time

Your surgical team will make a tiny incision and insert the intraocular lens, which will take only a few minutes. In some instances such as cataract removal we will remove the existing lenses. The entire procedure will take less than 40 minutes from preparation to post-op care, and you’ll be ready for pick up within two hours.

Typical Results

Most patients experience noticeable vision improvement within 24 hours of their procedure. While individual results vary, the majority achieve 20/20 vision or better, reducing or eliminating their dependence on glasses and contacts. Your personalised treatment plan ensures the best possible outcome.

Recovery Time

Recovery is generally quick, with most patients returning to their normal activities within 24 to 48 hours. You may experience some dryness, a gritty feeling or some sensitivity to light, which can cause watery eyes. These symptoms usually subside within a few days as your eyes heal naturally, but you can take paracetamol to help.
