Dr Dermot Cassidy is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specialising in cataract, corneal, and laser refractive surgery. With advanced expertise in the medical and surgical treatment of corneal diseases, including corneal transplantation and laser vision correction, Dr Cassidy is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal visual outcomes. Dr Cassidy is a consultant on the Corneal Unit and Acute Ophthalmology Service at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. A published author, he has contributed to peer-reviewed journals in his subspecialty and recently published Descemet’s Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty – A Manual, a guide to endothelial corneal transplantation.
